Coldwell Banker Warburg Takes Home Two Awards from the Real Estate Board of New York
The New York legacy continues. Coldwell Banker Warburg has been honored with two prestigious awards by the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY).
President of Coldwell Banker Warburg and a titan of the New York real estate industry, Frederick Warburg Peters took home The Eileen Spinola Award for Distinguished Service. This award honors a member who has made significant contributions to the REBNY community by donating time, expertise, and knowledge in the areas of education, ethics, and professional services for the betterment of the real estate industry. Peters has spent the last 40-plus years elevating the real estate profession with his integrity and expertise. He has been the recipient of numerous REBNY awards, where he serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors. He was also the first real estate practitioner in the country invited to write a regular column for Forbes. He remains one of the most quoted experts on real estate in both Manhattan and national media.
Peters started the brokerage firm that bears his middle name in 1991; since then, it has grown to over 100 affiliated sales professionals. Coldwell Banker Warburg became the first firm to be fully branded under the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury banner in 2021, joining a network of over 100,000 affiliated sales professionals in more than 2,700 offices across 39 countries and territories that was responsible for closing $288 million in daily luxury sales in 2022.
Bonnie Chajet, also a 40-plus-year real estate veteran with Coldwell Banker Warburg, took home The Henry Forster Memorial Award for her outstanding record of achievement and conduct within both the industry and the community. Chajet has consistently been ranked a top-performing broker firm-wide since becoming a partner at Warburg Realty in 1991. Most recently, she was recognized by REAL Trends as one of America’s Top Real Estate Professionals by Sales Volume in 2020 and ranked No. 56 overall in New York City. Outside of work, Bonnie is an honorary member on the Board of Women in Need, an organization that benefits homeless women and children.
Said Kevelyn Guzman, Coldwell Banker Warburg’s Chief Operating Officer: “These awards distinguish themselves from others given for specific deals, as they honor individuals who have dedicated themselves to serving the residential real estate industry over the long term. Bonnie and Frederick are among the recipients, having contributed significantly to the industry’s improvement for both new and established brokers. Working with them every day is a source of great pleasure to me.”
The pair was honored at REBNY’s Residential Deal of the Year Awards event on May 11th at City Winery. In its 34th year, the charity and awards gala was organized by members of the Deal of the Year Committee and supports the Member in Need Fund, which provides grants to residential brokers and agents who are in financial need due to unexpected illness or hardship. The Deal of the Year Committee, along with members of the Residential Co-Chair Council and Residential Board of Directors served as judges for each award presented at the event.
